Erick the Architect Unveils New Single Featuring Ghostface Killah & Fergie Baby

Brooklyn rapper, producer, and Flatbush Zombies co-founder Erick the Architect is entering a new chapter.

The artist has announced his forthcoming sophomore solo album, AFTERBURNER, set for release on January 22, 2027, via Mass Appeal. The announcement arrives alongside the release of a new single, “YERR,” featuring Ghostface Killah and Fergie Baby, as well as an accompanying music video. A distinctly New York record, “YERR” bridges multiple generations of hip-hop, connecting voices and influences from across the city’s rich musical landscape. The track offers an early glimpse into AFTERBURNER, a project shaped by self-reflection, creative growth, and a renewed sense of artistic confidence.

According to release materials, the album unfolds as a continuous body of work, drawing from Erick’s New York upbringing and Jamaican heritage while moving fluidly across genres. The project marks an evolution for the multi-hyphenate artist, who has built a reputation not only as a performer but also as a producer and creative architect behind some of contemporary hip-hop’s most innovative sounds.

The announcement comes as Erick returns to New York this week, taking the stage in support of The Avalanches at Terminal 5 ahead of the album campaign launch.

With AFTERBURNER, Erick the Architect appears poised to push beyond expectations once again, expanding the boundaries of his artistry while staying rooted in the influences that helped shape his distinctive voice.

AFTERBURNER arrives January 22, 2027 via Mass Appeal.
