Rosemary Zimu
From the bustling streets of Johannesburg to the global stage of Netflix, Rosemary Zimu's journey reads like the very stories she brings to life on screen.

The 31-year-old actress, who once traded law books for scripts, has become one of South Africa's most compelling storytellers, captivating international audiences with her role as Zinhle in the hit series Savage Beauty.
Growing up as one of seven children in a family where her grandmother's wall puppet performances and ditsomo (traditional stories) first ignited her passion for acting, Zimu's path to stardom began with a preschool angel costume and a childhood revelation about the transformative power of performance.
What started as a calling to "glorify God through my gift" has evolved into a mission to bring authentic African narratives to the world stage.
In this candid conversation with our editor-in-chief, Zimu opens up about her transition from legal certification to leading roles, her spiritual approach to character preparation, and why she believes South African stories are finally finding their rightful place in global entertainment.
